The Fourth International Seminar on Teaching Chinese as a Second Language

  

I、 Purpose of the Seminar 

   The seminar aims to establish a platform for teachers and scholars in the field of teaching Chinese as a second language where they may exchange their experiences and ideas, as well as to research the current state as well as innovation and development in the teaching of Chinese as a second language. In addition, issues relating to teaching Chinese as a second language, such as international baccalaureates and advanced placement, will be discussed in the seminar. National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) has long promoted language education and research development. The present seminar may be used to share teaching experiences and research results in the field of language, explore new directions in language research, and develop language education in different areas.

   Day1 (May 30) Visit to the Xiugang Campus of Kang Chiao Bilingual School Day 2 (May 31) Seminar

   Venue:Audio-Visual Classroom, NTNU Extension, School of Continuing Education, NTNU Library Campus

   Seminar Registration Fee:

   General (including teachers) NT $4,000;Postgraduate, Student NT $2,000

   (covers seminar registration only;additional expenses will be borne by the participants.)

   Important Dates:Registration Date:

   Jan. 2, 2018;Registration and Abstract Submission Deadline:March. 31, 2018

   Notification of Abstract Examination Results:April. 10, 2018, Registration Deadline:April. 30.

 

VII、Abstract Requirements  

   1. Language Requirements:

       Chinese or English (Please provide your thesis title and keywords in both Chinese and English)

   2. Word Requirements:600 - 800 words

   3. Content Should Include:

       Topic, Materials, Research Methods, Expected Findings Please do not send the full text of your paper.

   4. Please see the appendix on the next page for the abstract format.

       Papers submitted must not have been previously published.

   5. Abstracts must be reviewed and evaluated by experts. Review results will be sent via email on April. 10, 2018.
